Confronting the Challenge: Poverty in Liberia

The TLMI annual Shoe Box of Love campaign is a remarkable initiative that has been changing the lives of children in Liberia for several years. Liberia, a country that has experienced years of war, economic turmoil, and disease, has left many families unable to afford basic necessities, including Christmas gifts for their children. However, this is where the Shoe Box of Love comes in, providing children in need with gifts and essentials during the festive season.

Bringing the TLMI community together, every year, the campaign sees donated items such as toys, school supplies, hygiene products, and clothing, being packed into shoe boxes for children in Liberia. Such gestures of kindness and generosity bring immense joy and love to the young ones receiving them, as they serve as a reminder that they matter, and someone, somewhere cares for them.

The Shoe Box of Love campaign is about inspiring hope and spreading love where it is desperately needed, representing much more than simply giving away material gifts. While the children might not meet those who filled the boxes, they will long remember the experience and the feeling that someone cared for them. Participating in the TLMI Shoe Box of Love campaign is a tangible opportunity to make a positive impact, whether it means offering monetary donations or assembling shoeboxes for kids in need.

Finally, we wish to express our profound gratitude to past and present contributors and supporters, including our leader and sponsors, who donated 100 bags of rice to be given to families for the holidays, by Pastor Jason Cassell and the TLMI team in Liberia. Your selfless acts of kindness make a significant difference in shaping a better world for the children of Liberia.
God bless and keep spreading hope!
